Sarah is a founding partner of Knight Molloy Patrick LLP.  Sarah practices primarily in family law and has significant experience advocating and negotiating on behalf of clients in their divorce and separation matters. Sarah also has successfully represented civil litigation clients, as well as clients accused of both summary and indictable criminal offences and clients subject to Child & Family Services proceedings.

Sarah believes in firm, effective and strategic negotiations, and in seeking expeditious and fair outcomes for her clients.  She is recognized for her skills in Court as a compelling advocate for her clients, and for her creative and effective problem-solving outside of the Court.  She has represented clients at every level of Court in Alberta, including the Court of Appeal.

Sarah attended the University of Saskatchewan at the age of sixteen and was awarded the Most Outstanding Graduate Award in 2014.  She received the Frank L. Burnet Q.C. scholarship upon entrance into law school at the University of Calgary in 2014.  During law school, Sarah was an active member of Student Legal Assistance and a project leader for Pro Bono Students Canada, where she led students in providing volunteer family law services for the students of the Louise Dean Centre.

Sarah obtained experience as a summer law student in corporate commercial transactions, which has proven extremely beneficial in her family law practice as she assists families in dividing property related to businesses.

Sarah has completed negotiation and mediation training through the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta, and she continues to expand her skills and abilities through relevant coursework.

Sarah is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association and is member of the Board of Directors for the Calgary Civic Symphony, currently serving a three-year term.  Sarah also performs in the violin section of the Calgary Civic Symphony.  Sarah enjoys travel, time outdoors hiking and running with her dog, and partially completing DIY projects on her fixer-upper home in Calgary.
